How K Method Works
The Five Step Method of Accent Reduction: Basic Overview
We will holistically assess your voice and work on the key areas to reduce your accent so you can speak clear English without your foreign native accent. In the process of learning accent reduction, it’s best to take an approach of learning as you would learn a new language.
Step 1. Speak More Slowly In A Structure
More than likely, in your own mother language you are a much faster speaker. In a new way of speaking more slowly you will learn to place series of words in organized sets and clumps.
Step 2. The Digital Positions
You will be putting your mouth, tongue and lips into exact digital positions to set yourself up for clear English speaking without your accent. You will learn the sets of both the easier and harder positions plus where to put these positions in your clumps of words.
Step 3. Take In Air
You will be shown how to gently take in air in the setup before speaking.
Step 4. Release Out Air
You will learn how to effectively release air when you speak on every word and clump.
Step 5. Make Every Word Have a Long Vowel
You will learn how to make every word have a long vowel, this is very important for effectively reducing your accent. We will holistically assess your voice and work on the key areas to reduce your accent so you can speak clear English without your foreign native accent. Most frequent questions and answers
Changes are immediate from the first lesson! You will hear a strong difference after the first lesson. The full process I would take ideally with a client would be a full immersive 6 – 12 week program depending on the level of their foreign accent and how much help is needed. Now you have to commit to at least 20 – 30 minutes daily of practice based on the exercises, instruction and training to ingrain the changes for over a period that can range from 6 – 12 weeks on the basis you practice DAILY.
People from all over the globe have benefited from K Method’s applications of accent reduction. It does not matter if your mother language is Hindi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Swahili, Arabic, Farsi, Tamil, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, French, Thai, Bengali or anything else. If from the first session there isn’t a noticeable improvement in your accent reduction, all your money will be refunded whether a single session or package deal and other recommendations will be offered.
If you are proficient in the general understanding of English and can conversate with people in English but have generally only have accent barriers you are perfect candidate to work with.
Generally, this has a very small chance of happening. However if during the first session whether a single session or package, if a noticeable improvement is not evident, a full refund can be offered. After the first session it can be assessed if more training should continue on based upon the results of the introductory session.
